Hong Kong, 23 September 2024 – Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo is delighted to announce that The Pizza Bar on 38th has been named the third best pizzeria in the world in the prestigious 50 Top Pizza World 2024 rankings, revealed on 10 September 2024, in Naples, Italy. Widely regarded as the world’s most influential pizzeria guide, 50 Top Pizza also recognised The Pizza Bar on 38th as the Best Pizza in Asia-Pacific for the second consecutive year.

Led by Executive Chef Daniele Cason, The Pizza Bar on 38th offers a truly exclusive experience, where just eight guests can enjoy Roman-style pizzas made by an expert pizzaiolo in an intimate counter-style setting. The restaurant has gained acclaim for its innovative “omakase" course menu, launched in June 2023, offering guests a curated selection of pizzas with seasonal ingredients, elevating the traditional pizzeria dining experience.

The Pizza Bar on 38th’s pizzas are celebrated for their exceptional dough, created from organic wheat and meticulously aged for 48 hours to achieve a light, flavourful texture.

Guests can savour a variety of pizzas, ranging from classic tomato-based options to inventive creations featuring seasonal ingredients sourced from across Japan, from Hokkaido to Okinawa.
