Montblanc releases time-tested creations on its 110th anniversary

Everything in its right time

With the new Montblanc Heritage Collection Rouge & Noir, the brand, in both spirit and design, travels a century and a decade back in time. Originally unveiled in 1909, its first fountain pen series “Rouge et Noir" took inspiration from a Stendhal novel, and was crafted from black ebonite and capped with a red top.

The 21st century incarnation follows a similar classic countenance with an added modern touch, lent by a slimmer and more streamlined silhouette, and matched with a new piston mechanism. With the Montblanc heritage Collection, Rough & Noir, Special Edition Coral, the element of surprise comes in the form of an eye-catching coral resin and art nouveau-style lacquer, alongside a double-hued nib in Au585 gold, adorned with a beautiful serpent engraving.

To complement the range is the Montblanc Heritage Collection, Rouge & Noir, Special Edition, a black resin and lacquer counterpoint to its colourful partner. Featuring an off-white snowcap and a coral red resin, this writing instrument has a clip depicting the brand’s signature serpent motif that dates back to the roaring 1920s.
