His Majesty the Oud
When the wood of the Southeast Asian agar tree is infected with a particular kind of mould, the tree produces a dark scented resin called oud – one of the world’s most expensive ingredients used in fragrances. Atkinsons uses pure natural oud – the rarest of its kind – in this olfactory homage to the precious ingredient. His Majesty the Oud begins with top notes of Lapsang Souchong tea and cloves, with leather, cedar and sandalwood at its heart.
