Kata Rocks Launches its own Superyacht Rendezvous
The inaugural Kata Rocks Superyacht Rendezvous (KRSR) from 10 to 12 December 2016 will focus on the social side of the yachting industry, bringing together superyacht owners, industry partners and luxury lifestyle media for three days of fun and networking in a relaxed social environment.
By invitation only, the KRSR event is designed to bring like-minded people together from a personally curated guest list that features Kata Rocks villa owners, superyacht owners, yachting industry professionals plus a powerful mix of international and regional luxury lifestyle media.
The event is open to both sailing and motor yachts measuring over 24 meters in length, visiting or based in Phuket – Southeast Asia’s leading luxury location and superyacht hot spot.
Kata Rocks and Infinite Luxury CEO Richard Pope, said: “We are delighted with the universally positive response and support regarding the Kata Rocks Superyacht Rendezvous from the yachting industry and luxury media. Kata Rocks is often referred to as ‘the world’s first superyacht-inspired resort’ and KRSR continues to extend its long association with the yachting industry.”
This elegant location serves as an idyllic backdrop for a truly first class three-day programme. Participants are entitled to full complimentary use of Kata Rocks’ extensive and luxurious resort facilities during the KRSR event.
Highlights from the fun-filled and action-packed programme that are too extensive to list in detail here include welcome reception on a superyacht plus a cruise with the fleet to a secluded beach for a gourmet BBQ. There is also a ‘Gins of the World’ sunset cocktails, a ‘yacht hop’ and ‘big boy’s toys’ on the water showcase followed by the exclusive Infinite Luxury ‘Feadship Owners Dinner’ in Kata Rock’s iconic Sky Villa Penthouse and a grand finale that concludes with the Kata Rocks Charter Season Opening Party.
There will also be informative keynote presentations by leading international yachting experts and regional professionals keen to share expertise and engage colleagues in high level networking discussions. The KRSR is part of a series of coordinated yachting events starting with the Phuket King’s Cup Regatta, from 3 to 10 December. This year the King’s Cup is followed by the inaugural KRSR from 10 to 12 December, culminating with the Thailand Yacht Show on 15 to 18 December.
Sponsored by Infinite Luxury, the resort developer and hosted by the award-winning Kata Rocks, KRSR signals the opening of Phuket’s luxurious charter season offering superyacht owners a prime-time opportunity to showcase their flagship vessels.
The KRSR has quickly attracted the attention of nautical heavyweights across all sectors of the yachting, sailing and boating industries.
Michael Nurbatlian, Marketing Director Infinite Luxury, agreed that the event offered a different level of opportunity, a new type of exclusivity for owners and charter brokers to showcase their yachts for leading industry, lifestyle and luxury media publications.
“KRSR transcends traditional event definitions," Mr Nurbatlian said. “Kata Rocks’ yachting glamour provides the perfect setting for connecting superyacht owners and brokers to Kata Rocks villa owners and engage the world’s most influential luxury lifestyle media during a high profile three-day celebration and party experience that conveniently coincides with start the Asia Yacht Charter Season."
Mr Nurbatlian said the organising committee has worked over time to build an all-star cast of participating partners to the KRSR.
Getting Feadship Royal Dutch Shipyards, with roots dating back to 1849, to host the prestigious owner’s dinner on day two, brings history, class and the superyacht brand’s so-called ‘relentless pursuit of perfection’ to the event.
Feadship is recognised as the world leader in the field of pure custom superyachts in terms of craftsmanship, design, engineering and construction.
“We are very pleased to welcome Feadship, the world’s most prestigious motor yacht brand as a participating partner and host of the ‘Feadship Owner’s Dinner’ at the Inaugural Kata Rocks Superyacht Rendezvous” Mr Pope noted.
