The 2nd annual kata rocks superyacht rendezvous
One of Thailand’s most important yachting events, the second annual Kata Rocks Super Superyacht Rendezvous (KRSR), just took place at Kata Rocks, the design-driven luxury beachfront resort and residence in Phuket. From December 8 to 10, 2017, some of the most renowned industry players attended, including Feadship and Royal Huisman.
With more than 20 yachts assembled alongside owners, celebrities, and captains of the industry, the weekend was full of exclusive parties, celebrations and networking events. Royal Huisman launched its Pura concept, a radical custom sailing yacht solution that shortens delivery time to owners while Contest Yacht celebrated its Asia launch. Seajet introduced its two new jet watercrafts, Marlin and Stingray, as well as donated a Stingray for a silent charity auction earning 185,000 THB with proceeds going to the Phuket Youth Sailing Club. Event co-sponsor Feadship hosted an evening of fine dining and Benetti and VistaJet partnered to host a private dinner. The Charter Season Opening Party was the climax of the KRSR, featuring a lavish gala party, live bands, special performances, and a surprise appearance by celebrity singer Tata Young. Ultimately, the KRSR served to generate increased interest in Phuket and Asia as a world-class superyachting destination.
Owned by Infinite Luxury, a distinguished hospitality management company, Kata Rocks sits on the southern end of the renowned Kata Beach. The design-driven luxury resort is home to the annual KRSR, the definitive superyacht event in Asia.
