Drive an early Shelby G.T.350 and you might declare it the most visceral, exciting, and just plain awesome American performance car ever made. Peter Brock, designer of the first example, teamed up with Camilo Pardo, designer of the 2004 Ford GT, to create a 425 hp roadster version of the blue-striped terror that put Shelby’s Mustang on the map in 1965.
This “what-if" car, engineered and constructed by some of the same team that built the originals, is sanctioned and licensed by both Ford and Shelby. Just 24 examples will be constructed from the ground up, using original serial numbers and 1965 convertible body shells.
