Phillips’ Hong Kong Jewels Auction on March 28 is set to showcase an array of colored diamonds and gemstones, including fancy colored diamonds, Burmese rubies, Columbian emeralds, and other rare gemstones like red spinels and Paraíba tourmalines. Additionally, vintage signed pieces from renowned brands such as Bulgari, Cartier, and Van Cleef & Arpels will be featured.
The highlight of the auction is a fancy vivid yellow diamond ring weighing 15.51 carats, with a round brilliant-cut style and a high estimate of $1.25 million. This particular cut is rare for colored diamonds, making it a highly coveted piece. Another notable item is a 4.01-carat Burmese unheated ruby and diamond ring, valued at up to $180,000. Rubies from Burma are considered some of the world’s most desirable, especially in larger sizes like this one.
For those who prefer green gemstones, the auction offers stunning Colombian emeralds. Highlights include a pair of Colombian emerald and diamond earrings by Harry Winston (estimated at $180,000) and a 37.08-carat Colombian emerald and diamond ring (estimated at $130,000).
In addition to these pieces, the auction will feature a curated collection of signed vintage jewelry from top brands. Notable items include a turquoise and diamond necklace by Van Cleef & Arpels (estimated at $150,000) and an Art Deco Burmese unheated ruby and diamond bracelet by Cartier (estimated at $52,000).
