Ferrari is continuing its legacy of powerful internal-combustion engines with the introduction of the Ferrari 12Cilindri, a successor to the 812 Superfast. Unveiled ahead of the Miami Grand Prix, the 12Cilindri pays homage to Ferrari’s history while embracing modern design and technology.
Designed with a delta-wing shape reminiscent of a spaceship, the 12Cilindri features a nod to Ferrari’s heritage with a vintage-inspired black band along the hood. The rear of the car boasts a striking design, including a carbon-fiber-capped greenhouse, electrically powered flaps, and gem-like taillights.
Under the hood lies a powerful naturally aspirated V-12 engine, generating 819 horsepower and 500 ft lbs of torque. Paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox, the 12Cilindri promises exhilarating performance, with a top speed of 211 mph and a 0-62 mph acceleration time of 2.9 seconds.
The chassis of the 12Cilindri has been redesigned to enhance torsional stiffness, while driver-adjustable MagneRide magnetic dampers and advanced braking systems ensure precise handling and control. The coupe variant is set to be released in the fourth quarter of this year, followed by the convertible version in early 2025, with pricing starting at €395,000 and €435,000 respectively.
