Marriott Bonvoy Launches “Culture Wonders Await” Campaign in Greater China Inviting Guests to Embark a Fabulous Museum Adventure

Shanghai, September 24, 2024 – Marriott Bonvoy, a global portfolio of more than 30 hotel brands is partnering with museums and galleries around Greater China to enrich guests’ stays with a dazzling array of cultural experiences. From now till Oct. 31, guests will have the opportunity to embark on a cultural and museum journey through two exclusive “Culture Wonders Await" packages.

Those traveling with family and in tutorial groups who are looking for immersive historical and cultural experiences, Marriott Bonvoy is collaborating with multiple diversified museums, VR exhibitions, and cultural activity centers across Greater China to curate a blend of local and unique experiences, designed to impress guests with the destination’s rich resource of culture, history, and art.

10 hotels under Marriott Bonvoy portfolio in Chengdu and Xi’an, including W Chengdu and Courtyard by Marriott Xi’an North, present VR experience Horizon of Khufu in association with The Metaverse Project. The show takes visitors 4,500 years back in time to ancient Egypt, offering panoramic views of the Giza Plateau and a ride along the Nile in the mythical solar barque.

In Shanghai, over 40 Marriott Bonvoy hotels including The Westin Bund Center, Shanghai, and Le Méridien Shanghai, Minhang, offer a wide selection of different cultural activities. At the Shanghai Museum, the special exhibition Wallace Chan: Half A Century showcases the works of the renowned Chinese contemporary jewelry artist. Guests will be enchanted by the timeless splendor, Chinese aesthetic design, and brilliance created over five decades. At HKRI Taikoo Hui, the Life Chronicles exhibition recounts the fascinating journey of life on Earth over 3.5 billion years. Visitors immerse themselves in captivating presentations on the geological change on the planet and the evolution of life, retracing the steps that the world has taken to become as we know it today.

Xiamen is bringing all guests staying with 10 Marriott Bonvoy hotels including Le Méridien Xiamen and Xiamen Marriott Hotel & Conference Centre to be immersed in experiences full of arts and discovery. The Go to Mars show at the Xiamen Science and Technology Museum gives visitors an opportunity to explore Mars. Those who appreciate art and design can visit China’s only Red Dot Design Museum and wander through its collection of contemporary design works.

What’s more? Guests could experience a pageant of classic Chinese fashion with the Guardian Art Center with 16 Marriott Bonvoy hotels in Beijing, such as The Westin Beijing Financial Street. Colors of Imperial Textiles and Court Regalia in the Qing Dynasty is a show that features dozens of rare and exquisite garments, giving the modern visitor a glimpse of the haute couture of imperial China.
