Mark’s excellence in the hospitality industry has earned him prominent positions with renowned hotel brands, including President & COO of One & Only Resorts, Kerzner International, Executive Vice President, Global of Shangri-La Group, and Regional Vice President Asia Pacific of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company as well as the Chief Executive Officer of Urban Resort Concepts, a boutique ultra-luxury hotel company in Asia.
At his most recent role as Chief Executive Officer at Boutique Group KSA, he led the transformation of Historic Palaces of former Kings in Saudi Arabia into ultra- luxury hotels and creating the first Saudi luxury hospitality company. Mark played a pivotal role in building the company since its inception, guiding the team to become ambassadors of the kingdom’s rich culture and heritage for the most discerning guests.
Mark is a recipient of numerous accolades, including the prestigious Peoples Republic of China, Friendship Award presented by President Hu Jintao in 2004, and the Magnolia Award Silver and Gold in 2001 and 2003, respectively, from Mayor Han Zheng for his contribution to business, people development, and establishing community support for The Children’s Charity Foundation and Welfare Institute in Shanghai and China.
