Part of the vanguard of young contemporary designers coming out of Mexico, Daniel Orozco is dedicated to social and environmental responsibility, with a deep belief that collaboration— especially with traditional craftspeople—is the key to good design. The studio’s FOS Triángulo lounge chair falls under this approach: Its frame is hand-built from solid Jabin wood (prevalent in the Yucatán region) that is kiln-dried for weeks in local ovens, then finished with a handwoven- nylon seat and back that showcase the artisans’ intricate technique. Hearty and weather-resistant, this product is rated for indoor or outdoor use. $1,164
