BYD HYROX Bangkok Marks a Triumphant Debut with Impressive Participation

BYD HYROX Bangkok welcomed over 8000 racers to complete in Thailand’s first-ever global fitness competition

Bangkok, Thailand – May 27, 2025 – The highly anticipated inaugural BYD HYROX Bangkok has successfully concluded, marking an impressive entry for the global fitness race into Thailand. Close to 15,000 participants and spectators showed up at the event held at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) on May 24-25, 2025.

The atmosphere throughout the weekend was electric, with registration numbers exceeding initial expectations. Tickets for the first day sold out within 18 hours, prompting the addition of a second day that was nearly sold out. This strong demand highlights the growing enthusiasm for fitness challenges within the Thai community and firmly establishes Bangkok as a key destination on the HYROX Asia Pacific circuit.

The two-day event attracted a diverse group of athletes, all eager to test their physical and mental fortitude against the unique HYROX format. The competition saw a representation of 54% men and 46% women take part across the individual, doubles, and relay categories, alongside the inspiring debut of the Adaptive division, underscoring HYROX’s commitment to inclusivity.

Exciting Races and Notable Performances Across All Divisions

The BYD HYROX Bangkok features a unique format where competitors alternate between running and functional workout stations over the course of eight rounds. In each round, participants run 1 kilometer followed by a challenging functional workout station, providing a rigorous test of endurance and strength for all competitors. The stations include:

  • 1,000m SkiErg
  • 50m sled pull
  • 50m sled push
  • 80m burpee broad jumps
  • 1,000m rowing
  • 200m farmers carry
  • 100m sandbag lunges
  • 100 wall balls

The event witnessed compelling performances across all competition formats with key winners below:

Singles Pro:

  • HYROX Pro Men: Gabe Heck from the US triumphed in the HYROX Pro Men division, completing the race in 56:47.
  • HYROX Pro Women: Josie Hull from the UK dominated the HYROX Pro Women division with a time of 1:04:56.

Doubles Pro:

  • HYROX Pro Doubles Men: Oliver Worth and Lawrence Cartwright from the UK took the win in the HYROX Doubles Pro Men division with a time of 56:25.
  • HYROX Pro Doubles Women: Gabrielle Nikora-Baker and Nicola-Georgia Macbeth from Australia and the UK triumphed in the HYROX Doubles Pro Women with a time of 57:53.
