26 June 2025, Gaydon, Warwickshire: Aston Martin today announces the launch of its first ultra-luxury residence in Asia with the completion of N°001 Minami Aoyama, Tokyo. A partnership between Japan’s premier luxury real estate developer VIBROA Inc. and Aston Martin, the four-storey private residence is located in Tokyo’s highly desirable Omotesandō neighbourhood.

The new townhouse continues Aston Martin’s exclusive programme of bespoke residential developments, which include the iconic Aston Martin Residences in Miami and The Astera, Interiors by Aston Martin on Al Marjan Island, Ras Al Khaimah. Designed in close collaboration between VIBROA and Aston Martin’s design team, led by Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer Marek Reichman, Aston Martin’s real estate projects bring the marque’s commitment to craft, innovation and dynamic, beautiful design to all facets of a modern living space.

N°001 Minami Aoyama is a true showcase for bespoke craft, high-end technology and a unifying design language that parallels the truth to materials, perfect proportions and effortless beauty of Aston Martin’s range of luxury sports cars.

Arranged across three storeys above a substantial basement level, the house has a total floor area of 724 m2 (7,793 ft2). Designed to provide a sanctuary from the city, the house is an expression of space, time and privacy for a customer who values the marriage of urban style with beautiful execution.

N°001 Minami Aoyama presents a powerful architectural façade to the public realm, with an array of vertically aligned metal louvers. Together, these create a shifting presence throughout the day as light plays on the reflective surfaces, providing animation as well as privacy. These chamfered metal fins provide measured glimpses of interior details, including the rippled mirrored ceilings and specially commissioned planting on the first floor spa terrace.

Marek Reichman, Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer of Aston Martin said: “Throughout the design and construction of N°001 Minami Aoyama we have worked closely with VIBROA to celebrate the influence of Tokyo’s culture, history and style. The city has always held an important creative space within our design studio, and Aston Martin’s increased presence in Japan and Asia has provided fertile ground for inspiration and collaboration."

“For Aston Martin, design is something that goes beyond automotive inspiration. I see fashion, architectural and even culinary references being considered by our team when developing their work," said Reichman, “from the dramatic sail-like silhouette of Aston Martin Residences in Miami, to the ultra-luxury interiors in Ras Al Khaimah, through to the striking architectural form of N°001 Minami Aoyama you can see the importance of proportion, visual drama, material innovation and craft."

Toshiyuki Yoshida, Chief Executive Officer of VIBROA said: “VIBROA is delighted to be working with such an iconic ultra-luxury brand as Aston Martin. Their renowned design philosophy and expertise brings a unique dimension not just to this home, but the wider world of real estate in Japan."

The Tokyo-based company, led by CEO Toshiyuki Yoshida, provides a comprehensive lifestyle offering for its clients. Facilities include property maintenance, private banking and family education support, in addition to curatorial and concierge services. Aston Martin is excited to be at the forefront of this new era of holistic lifestyle-driven living experiences.

“The clean lines, seamless boundaries and far-reaching views allow the residents to connect with and experience this unique location," said Marek Reichman, “Inside, we’ve catered to the senses, using a holistic combination of elements and materials to create a calm and relaxing space for them to retreat".

The design of N°001 Minami Aoyama was tailored to the unique site in Tokyo’s Minami Aoyama district. To maximise the available space, VIBROA excavated a substantial basement area to take advantage of the sloping site. This has allowed for the creation of a gym and wine cellar, along with dedicated space for a golf simulator system and a private spa, in addition to the three en-suite bedrooms.

One of the most significant aspects of the design is the automotive gallery, a showcase space containing two highly sought-after off-street parking places, set within the ground floor of the residence. The gallery presents two vehicles as if they were sculptural works of art, complete with adaptive lighting and a wave-texture metal ceiling. The cars can be screened from the street and simultaneously viewed from within, with a special glass vision panel bringing them into the lounge and meeting room on the ground floor.

Throughout the residence attention has been paid to light, views and space. As one progresses through the accommodation to the rooftop terrace, the materiality subtly changes, transitioning from dark to light materials to mirror the journey towards the light. N°001 Minami Aoyama is topped by an impressive terrace that combines entertaining spaces, including a kitchen facility, far-reaching sunset views as well as a section of planted green roof. Tokyo tower can be seen from the roof terrace. The journey through the house is enhanced by the dramatic sculptural staircase. Formed from folded steel, shaped to give the impression of an origami staircase, it runs between the basement and ground floor, adjoining an internal garden and illuminated by a feature pendant chandelier.

For Aston Martin, the level of detail design was unprecedented, from the architectural design down to the material specifications and even the furniture. Fixtures and fittings are of the highest quality throughout. A fully integrated Bowers & Wilkins Audio System can be accessed from throughout the residence, bringing the same level of audio mastery found within Aston Martin’s product line-up.

Aston Martin and VIBROA provided a curated selection of premium Italian furnishings, including bespoke wardrobes and kitchen cabinets by the iconic Italian brand Molteni&C. The kitchen has black lava stone surfaces and grey oak cabinetry, with nebula steel and pewter metal accents used throughout for detail design. Many of the unique furniture pieces were custom designed under Aston Martin’s direct supervision. On the first floor, the spa facilities include a sauna and spa bath with natural Hinoki timber cladding and a specially designed audio system. A landscaped private terrace adjoins this refined and relaxing space, complete with outdoor Onsen pool and seating.

The first fully bespoke private residence in Asia to be created by Aston Martin’s design team, the project also carries strong symbolism of Aston Martin’s ongoing expansion in Japan and the broader Asian market, following the opening of the Aston Martin Ginza showroom in The Peninsula Tokyo hotel in Spring 2024
