Diamonds: 342 invisibly-set white baguette diamonds totalling 16 carats adorn the case.
JCEM01 calibre: This innovative movement not only beats, but also rotates to complete a turn every 20 seconds.
Time display: Rotates in sync with the turning of the movement so that its 12 o’clock marker is always uppermost.
Tri-axis tourbillon: Besides completing a rotation every 60 seconds like conventional tourbillons, it also spins around the arm carrying it every five seconds.
Earth and moon: Earth is made of hand-painted titanium, while the moon is a spherical diamond featuring the proprietary Jacob Cut.

A jewellery timepiece adorned with many diamonds, from the king of diamonds.
Gem setting: The cluster technique, pioneered by Harry Winston in the 1940s, puts together different-shaped stones at varying angles to maximise the reflection of light in any direction.
Case: Pear-cut diamonds frame 16 baguette-cut diamonds adding up to 3.8 carats.
Bracelet: The platinum bracelet is set with 25 baguette-cut diamonds adding up to 11.98 carats: five marquise-cut diamonds totalling 3.87 carats, 67 pear-cut diamonds of 38.62 carats and 48 brilliant-cut diamonds adding up to 15.42 carats.

The beauty of Lalique’s crystal complements the technical brilliance of Parmigiani’s creation.
Historic design: The brand’s Coutard Fountain motif is a spray of water representing founder Rene Lalique’s fascination with the liquid that shares the same transparency and reflective qualities as glass. The design carved in the crystal depicts the myth of Greek goddess Arethusa, who was turned into a fountain by another goddess, Artemis.
Crystal case: Made using the lost-wax casting method, recessed areas are satin-finished to contrast with the polished surfaces.
Watch case: The 55mm platinum case provides better acoustics for the minute repeater it houses.
Case back: Two Lalique crystal medallions protect the back. One features Arethusa’s face and the other, the Coutard Fountain motif.

As always, this Richard Mille is big and bold and contains a groundbreaking mechanism.
Baseplate: Ninety per cent of grade 5 titanium, combined with six per cent aluminium and four per cent vanadium creates an alloy priced for its strength and resistance to corrosion.
Sapphire crystal: This material is used for the tourbillon, barrel, centre bridges and the entire case – components it is not usually used for.
Cable suspension: A 0.35-mm steel cable connects the baseplate to the case and keeps it suspended by a tension maintained by a system of pulleys. This provides excellent protection against impacts up to 5,000 Gs.
