Los Angeles, June 19, 2025 – A storied sanctuary of exclusivity that has welcomed Hollywood legends, global tastemakers, and discerning travelers for generations, Hotel Bel-Air, a Dorchester Collection hotel, unveils a fresh reimagination of its all-day dining venue The Restaurant. Under the direction of Culinary Director Joe Garcia, the restaurant’s new look arrives in tandem with the summer season, debuting an inventive new menu that celebrates California’s sun-soaked bounty, thoughtfully curated seasonal programming, and a slate of immersive dining experiences, all enhanced by a refreshed look and feel.

Building on The Restaurant’s signature reinterpretation of comforting classics, the new seasonal summer menu includes standouts such as the refined ‘HBA Iceberg Salad’ prepared with peak-market ingredients and artfully served as an elegant slice rather than the traditional wedge; a sumptuous crispy skin Loup de Mer, featuring eggplant caviar, roasted sweet peppers, tomato confit, garden basil and finished with a delicate saffron bouillon; and Sweet Corn Agnolotti enriched with butter poached Maine lobster, preserved lemon and compressed French tarragon.

An ode to the flavors of summer, Hotel Bel-Air welcomes guests to toast the start of the sunny season with a vibrant new Garden Spritz Menu inspired by the citrus groves and botanicals flourishing across the property’s lush grounds. Served exclusively in The Restaurant, the collection features five refreshing variations, each showcasing a unique summer hue and standout garnishes:

  • Strawberry Spritz with house-infused Aperol and fresh strawberries
  • Grapefruit Spritz with mezcal and fresh-squeezed grapefruit
  • Lemon Spritz featuring Hotel Bel-Air’s own lemons and bright limoncello
  • Peach Spritz with Juliette peach liqueur
  • Elderflower Spritz featuring floral notes of St-Germain

An elegant new tradition invites guests to linger a little longer beneath The Restaurant’s blooming bougainvillea as the legendary estate debuts a new Sunday Night Dinner experience on the first Sunday of each month, featuring a thoughtfully curated, family-style menu that shifts with the season as curated by Chef Garcia. Designed to suit intimate dinners or larger celebrations alike, these monthly dining moments are a warm and welcoming way to end the weekend alongside friends and family.

A charming nod to Hotel Bel-Air’s celebrated past, The Restaurant will introduce a vintage-inspired pastry cart presented tableside. The roving cart features a rotating selection of seasonal pastries from the onsite cafe, The Patisserie, including a variety of mouth-watering favorites such as flaky almond croissants, signature cream puffs, and house-made cinnamon rolls to bring a touch of indulgence to the mornings.

The transformation extends beyond the new Marie Daâge China with a renewed design that captures the spirit of a serene garden escape with the hotel’s signature blush color bringing a lighter, more luminous atmosphere to the outdoor dining space. A newly added marble bar serves as a welcoming gathering spot for pre- or post-dinner cocktails, while the dining alcoves provide enhanced privacy and exclusivity. The hotel’s beloved outdoor Movies Under the Stars series returns this July & August with a new lineup of iconic films and themed menus to pair.
