Dutch yacht builder Amels may be looking for an owner to claim the ninth hull in its Amels 60 Limited Edition series, but Winch Design has wasted no time in selecting the marble for its interior. The design features Onyx Van Gogh marble, sourced from Iran and purchased in Italy, in the guest bathrooms and main deck. The rich tones of teal, red, orange, and beige have a natural translucency that can be backlit if desired. Within the beach club and sauna, hard-wearing Roma Imperiale marble sourced from Brazil introduces warm, earthy hues to the lower deck interior. “Since every slab is unique, our team conducts thorough stone inspections and hand-selects each piece to ensure it meets our standards," Winch Design’s managing partner and creative director, Jim Dixon, told Robb Report.
