The new generation of the V12 Lamborghini
The visionary Lamborghini Aventador S has just been unveiled for the first time in Thailand, even before its official launch at the Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland. The long-awaited launch, an exclusive private preview hosted by Niche Cars Group Co., Ltd, Thailand’s leading distributor of elite automotive brands, was held at Sukhothai Hotel and included a lavish dinner attended by society’s most prominent supercar lovers.
Among the attendants included Vittawat Chinabarramee, managing director of Lamborghini Thailand and Sig. Davide Sfrecola, SEA sales manager of Automobili Lamborghini, who unveiled the Aventador S in “New Giallo Orion," a striking yellow color.
Lamborghini Aventador S is notable for its aerodynamic design, redeveloped suspension, and increased power.
With a number of exterior developments, Aventador S achieves astonishing aerodynamic efficiency, with a dry weight of just 1,575 kilograms. Four-wheel steering is adopted in this supercar, the first time ever in a series production Lamborghini, resulting in a suspension with total control. Aventador S also allows the driver four driving modes, each different in traction, steering, and suspension.
As for power, Aventador S outputs an additional 40 hp over its predecessor, to a maximum of 740 hp and a 690 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. Acceleration from 0-100 km/h is reached in a stunning 2.9 seconds, with a top speed of 350 km/h.
Other highlights include the cockpit, which features a customizable dashboard and AppleCarPlay, which allows drivers to manage voice-activated communications and entertainment from Apple devices. The telemetry system can record data such as lap times and track performance.
