Cartier Thailand, Together with Chulalongkorn University, Celebrates the Graduation of the First Cartier Women’s Initiative Entrepreneurial Program in Thailand

Bangkok, Thailand, 19 May 2025 – Cartier Thailand, in partnership with Chulalongkorn University, celebrated a milestone moment with the graduation ceremony of the first local Cartier Women’s Initiative (CWI) Entrepreneurial Program in Thailand. Held at the Waldorf Astoria Bangkok, the evening honored 26 impact entrepreneurs—all women in leadership roles—who successfully completed an intensive six-week curriculum designed to advance socially responsible businesses with the potential to scale globally.

This inaugural local edition reinforces Cartier’s long-standing commitment to supporting women entrepreneurs who are driving meaningful change through business. The CWI Entrepreneurial Program was designed to equip participants with foundational knowledge in entrepreneurship, leadership skills, and practical tools to elevate their ventures to the international stage, including applying for the globally recognized Cartier Women’s Initiative Awards.

Pornpreya Vivadhnajat, Managing Director of Cartier Thailand, opened the evening with heartfelt remarks “We gather here to celebrate the graduation of the first cohort of aspiring business entrepreneurs in Thailand. The local CWI Entrepreneurial Program was created to empower those committed to building sustainable businesses with purpose at their core. It’s been inspiring to witness the collaboration, growth, and energy in this vibrant community that we’ve built and nurtured."

Following her welcome, Yanina Novitskaya, CEO of Cartier Southeast Asia and Oceania, delivered a congratulatory address “This is the first local program in Thailand, and I am deeply impressed by the drive and passion shown by every participant. Thailand ranks among the top in the world for female leadership, and the potential here is undeniable. As we approach the 20th anniversary of the Cartier Women’s Initiative in 2026—hosted proudly by Thailand—I encourage all of you, and every woman impact entrepreneur, to apply for the global program and continue your growth journey within this like-minded community."

The program, co-developed with Chulalongkorn University, offered modules ranging from entrepreneurial foundations to strategic presentation skills. It was designed by the Chulalongkorn University team and led by Dr. Preechaya Sittipunt, Chief Global Learning Officer, under the supervision and leadership of Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President, and Professor Dr. Parichart SthapitanondaVice President for Academic Affairs and Social Outreach.

Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University joined the stage to lead the certificate ceremony and delivered an inspiring commencement address:

“The 26 graduates of this program are not only entrepreneurs—they are changemakers. Over the past six weeks, they have set aside their demanding roles as business leaders to engage deeply with this intensive curriculum. The knowledge and experience they have acquired will serve as a foundation for advancing their ventures, discovering innovative solutions, and driving transformation on a global level.

This collaboration between Chulalongkorn University and Cartier reaffirms our shared dedication to nurturing businesses that go beyond profit to create positive, purposeful impact in society.

After the formalities, the evening transitioned into a networking and celebration session, where graduates mingled with professors, guest speakers, and program supporters—reaffirming the community spirit that defines the Cartier Women’s Initiative.

The Cartier Women’s Initiative continues to serve as a global platform committed to driving change through women-led businesses. Applications for the 2026 edition of the global CWI Awards are now open until 24 June 2025.
