A $17.5 million estate outside Denver, Colorado, splashed onto the market in 2016 with a bonkers total of 126 custom chandeliers featured throughout. It took some time, but the Evergreen mansion, grandiosely dubbed Chateau V, finally sold in 2021 for $9.5 million, a significant $8 million discount but nonetheless a record price for the small community.

Currently listed at $59.9 million, the 35-acre property was formerly owned by Texas natives Randall and Cynthia Veselka of DTI Credit. They initially purchased the land and went on to pour over $30 million into the development of the palatial home they dubbed Chateau V. Ultimately, they ran out of funds to complete the residence.

One of the most unusual features of the home is that each of the 20,000-square-foot home’s six en suite bedrooms each includes their own washer and dryer. An apartment for guests or staff is also featured in the home. If the abundance of chandeliers jazzing up the massive residence don’t float your boat, its eight fireplaces might catch your eye or the 12 dormer windows flanked by statues.

Breathtaking 270-degree views of the Rocky Mountains are available from throughout the house, including the main living area, a vast double-height space with a fireside lounge, and a formal dining area. The gourmet kitchen nearby sits beneath arched stone ceilings with backlighting, which allows modern appliances like the gas-range stovetop to pop. Guests can enjoy sweeping mountain vistas from the breakfast bar or venture out onto the expansive terrace from the turreted breakfast room.

A spiral staircase lined with a fancifully scrolled wrought-iron banister leads to the second floor, where the primary suite resides. There are surreal views, a fireplace, walk-in closets, and a glitzy marble bath with a soaking tub set into a wide bay lined with 15-pane floor-to-ceiling windows.

Other luxe amenities include a gym, a 1,500-bottle wine cellar and tasting room, an office, and a billiards room with an antique wooden bar that dates to 1885. Outside, the luxuries continue with a heated pool and spa next to a gazebo and outdoor kitchen, while a custom-built greenhouse is ideal for those with a green thumb.
