Emirates Launches First Bangkok Flight with Premium Economy as Thailand Enters Next Phase of Global Cabin Rollout

Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, today launches its first flight from Bangkok to Dubai (EK372/373) operated by a newly retrofitted Airbus A380 featuring the airline’s highly acclaimed Premium Economy cabin. From today, travellers choosing these flights will experience the elevated elegance of upgraded cabin interiors and access to Emirates’ award-winning Premium Economy.

Emirates’ new Premium Economy cabin offers a generous 40-inch seat pitch, 8-inch recline, and a spacious 2-4-2 layout in cream leather seats with cushioned leg rests, adjustable headrests, and fold-out woodgrain tables for dining or work. Travellers can enjoy regional menus served on Royal Doulton china, with Chandon sparkling wine, Business Class wines, liqueurs, and chocolates from an extended drinks list.

Located at the front of the A380, the cabin also offers priority disembarkation. A 13.3-inch HD screen and Bluetooth headphone pairing enhance the inflight entertainment experience, while faster onboard Wi-Fi keeps passengers connected. On longer routes, travellers receive a sustainable amenity kit with travel essentials, packaged in a reusable pouch made from eco-friendly materials.

Mohammed Alwahedi, Emirates’ Country Manager for Thailand, said: “We’re proud to debut our Premium Economy offering on the Bangkok–Dubai route starting today. Thailand is a major market for Emirates, and this launch reflects our commitment to continuously enhancing the travel experience for our customers here. With its blend of elevated design and refined comfort, Emirates Premium Economy bridges the gap between Economy and Business Class, redefining mid-tier travel on long-haul routes. It’s a game-changing product that offers Thai travellers more choice and comfort than ever before."

This launch in Thailand is part of an accelerated global deployment of Emirates’ retrofitted A380s and Boeing 777s. By the end of 2025, nearly 50% of Emirates’ global network will feature upgraded aircraft with the airline’s signature Premium Economy experience and refreshed interiors. Emirates will soon introduce its retrofitted A380s on routes to Hong Kong, Nice, and Perth, while the refurbished Boeing 777 will begin serving Madrid, Kuala Lumpur, Phuket, and Frankfurt. Dublin is also set to receive a second retrofitted 777 before the end of the year.

Customers can book flights on the upgraded A380 featuring Premium Economy from on emirates.com or via travel agents.
