evian®’s Perfect Swing into Fine Dining

evian® brings its refined purity to the heart of global gastronomy – welcoming two culinary icons in Bangkok’s restaurant scene to the Summit of Fine Dining in Evian-les-Bains.

22 July 2025, Bangkok, Thailand– evian® is expanding its presence in the world of fine dining, building on a legacy that began almost two centuries ago with its iconic glass bottle, the first established natural mineral water in the dining scene of its heartland, France. Nowadays, evian is a trusted choice among top chefs in starred restaurants and luxury hotels across the globe, bringing a sense of effortless elegance to premium dining. As a proud partner of the Michelin Guide in the US, Canada, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau, South Korea, and Thailand the brand continues to focus on providing finest hydration – both at the table and beyond.

To celebrate this renewed focus, evian® revealed its secret ingredient to a select group of renowned chefs, during an exclusive three-day event in the picturesque town of Évian-les-Bains, timed to coincide with The Amundi Evian Championship, the only Major championship in women’s golf held in Continental Europe and one of the sport’s most prestigious events. This global sporting event, linked to the brand for over 30 years, brings together the world’s finest talents in golf at the Evian Resort every July.

Centered around the iconic Impluvium – evian’s protected source – the gathering brought together chefs and brand ambassador Céline Boutier – a world-class golf champion, winner of the Major in 2023 – to experience the purity of evian® natural mineral water at its origin. Through behind-the-scenes access, immersive tastings, and thoughtful conversations, the event highlighted evian®’s unique approach to fine dining and its deep commitment to excellence, and the joy of living well.

evian® Ambassadors Redefining Fine Dining

The event featured an inspiring lineup of culinary talent from around the world, showcasing a fusion of heritage, innovation, and artistry. Participating chefs included two representing Thailand’s vibrant culinary scene:

  • Arnaud Dunand Sauthier, a renowned French chef and founder of Maison Dunand in Bangkok, where he brings the elegance of French Alpine cuisine to Asia with precision and authenticity.
  • Nutthapol “Chef Nick” Pavapaiboon, a Thai chef and founder of Wang Hinghoi in Bangkok, known for his immersive “dining in nature" concept blending culinary storytelling with environmental stewardship.

What the Chefs Are Saying

“Water is one of the most essential elements in fine dining – it deserves the same attention as any other ingredient," shared Chef Arnaud Dunand Sauthier. “evian® has always been a part of my life. I grew up just five kilometres from Évian-les-Bains, so returning there as a chef based in Asia was deeply personal. Visiting the Impluvium and seeing the source of the water I’ve known since childhood gave me a renewed appreciation for its purity and story. At Maison Dunand, everything we serve is rooted in clarity, precision, and respect for origin – and evian® reflects those same values. It’s a natural extension of how I approach food and something my guests feel in every detail of their experience."

“This event is an important moment to show that Thai cuisine is far more layered than people often realise – it’s imaginative, rooted in heritage, and full of complexity," said Chef Nick Nutthapol Pavapaiboon. “At Wang Hinghoi, we design every element of the experience to reflect nature – not just in the ingredients we use, but in the atmosphere, the rhythm, and the story behind each dish. It’s about reconnecting with something real. Today’s diners care not just about flavour, but about integrity and intention. That’s why evian® is such a natural fit – it reflects that same purity and purpose. It complements, not competes with, what we serve, and helps create the kind of honest, immersive experience we want every guest to walk away with."

evian®’s Commitment to Culinary Excellence

In Thailand, where cuisine is deeply rooted in biodiversity, storytelling, and sensorial harmony, evian®’s commitment to purity and provenance finds natural synergy. As the country’s fine dining scene evolves – embracing sustainability, local ingredients, and immersive culinary experiences – evian® adds a layer of refinement that enhances not only the flavour on the plate but the integrity of the entire dining journey.

“evian® natural mineral water journey begins high in the French Alps, where each drop is naturally filtered for 15 years through glacial rocks,” said Antoine Portmann, General Manager of evian® and Danone Waters Europe. “This pristine process reflects our commitment to fine dining—refined, distinctive, and inspired by nature’s purity. As the perfect complement to exceptional cuisine, evian® natural mineral water brings balance, sophistication, and a story that elevates every dining experience.

We were proud to transparently share with chefs what makes evian® natural mineral water unique, so they can pass on its values of naturality, quality, and trust to our customers. “

evian® natural mineral water is the perfect companion for fine dining, as its uniquely balanced mineral composition enhances delicate flavours without overpowering them.
