Just in time for awards season, the luxury hotel is launching in-room skincare regimens, offering guests red-carpet-ready treatments without leaving their suite.
While raiding the minibar at your hotel could probably contribute to bags under your eyes, the Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles‘s new amenity is a fridge full of products to make your face look great instead.
Next month the hotel will debut a new in-room menu of “Sanctuary Services" that deliver high-end skincare essentials and amenities, including the hotel’s first “Beauty Fridge" that will come stocked with products to rejuvenate your appearance.
While high-end hotels have long focused on delivering premium bath and shower amenities, the Ritz-Carlton’s spa director Leslie Arevalo is expanding the hotel’s offerings to help travelers maintain their skincare on the road, and even test out new products that could become part of their routines when they return home.
The Beauty Fridge—which amounts to $142 worth of product—features a complete ritual: a Travel Kit with Hinoki Cleanser, Lipid Serum, and Hyvia Moisturizer, along with Epicutis Lipid Recovery and eye masks. Chilled cryotherapy globes by Epicutis are also included and intended for take-home use. On top of that, guests can even pick and choose any product from the fridge to bring with them after their travels.
Additionally, guests can use a light therapy mask by SkinAct during their stay, a treatment that has become increasingly popular among facialists and even recommended and used by plastic surgeons. While the science on these LED treatments is far from settled, advocates claim the masks can help with fine lines, reduce sunspots, and tighten pores.
Recognizing that skincare is highly personal, the hotel allows guests to customize their own fridge with the option to book a consultation with the spa up to 72 hours before their stay. Products can then be tailored to a guest’s exact concerns, eclipsing the need to lug around your whole routine on your travels with you.
