Details:
The Ferragamo family is one of Tuscany’s most famous dynasties, first earning accolades in the fashion world before branching out into other luxury fields, including winemaking and hospitality. This weeklong adventure offers a chance to immerse yourself in their lifestyle.
Your home for four nights will be the four-bedroom private Villa Casetta at Il Borro, the 2,700-acre estate that Ferruccio Ferragamo, son of Salvatore, bought over 30 years ago. You’ll spend a day with Ferruccio’s son Salvatore Jr., who’ll personally take you through a tasting of the wines made there, such as the Super Tuscan classic Borrigiano, and a tour of the vineyard, his passion project. You’ll dine at Il Borro Tuscan Bistro one night—where executive chef Andrea Campani will cook a four-course meal paired with estate wines, including Nitrito—and ADB, on another. Salvatore Jr.’s sister Vittoria, an avid equestrian, will spend an afternoon on horseback with you riding among the Valdarno hills. For the final three nights, you’ll stay at Viesca, the villa that was once the family’s country retreat, just south of Florence. You’ll take a private cooking class and test your driving skills with an off-road adventure through the Tuscan countryside by Land Rover. You’ll also head to Florence for a special tour of the family’s fascinating museum, capped by dinner at Borgo San Jacopo, the Michelin-starred restaurant that overlooks the Ponte Vecchio.
