Justin Theroux wore a suitably stylish vintage Rolex to the Ralph Lauren show during New York Fashion Week. Produced in 1971—the same year the American actor and filmmaker was born—the Submariner Date (Ref. 1680) is made of solid, 18-karat yellow gold rather than the standard stainless steel. The reference is also replete with charming old-school touches, such as a black “nipple" dial and acrylic crystal. Theroux reportedly hunted down a 1971 Submariner as a birthday present to himself, according to Bob’s Watches. You can treat yourself to one too, but expect to pay around $40,000.
