Sonus Faber and Lamborghini are taking things up a gear.
The Italian duo, which first teamed up last year to create a custom audio system for the Revuelto, has unveiled a new, ultra-exclusive loudspeaker. The Il Cremonese Ex3me—Automobili Lamborghini Edition will fittingly debut at the upcoming Monterey Car Week in early August.
The newcomer is based on Sonus Faber’s award-winning Ex3me, but has been tricked out with custom technical and design features that reflect Lamborghini’s high-performance DNA. It is offered in five of the Raging Bull’s famous finishes—Giallo Countach, Arancio Egon, Blu Marinus Matte, Verde Mercurius, and Nero Nemesis Matte—with car-like details in Dinamica suede and carbon fiber. The angular five-sided cabinet and sculpted contours also echo the marque’s four-wheelers.

“With Il Cremonese Ex3me—Automobili Lamborghini edition, we celebrate the excellence of Made in Italy by merging Sonus Faber’s artisanal sound craftsmanship with Lamborghini’s visionary design," Lamborghini marketing director Christian Mastro said in a statement.
Each speaker is handcrafted by Sonus Faber using natural materials, with every component engineered for the finest acoustic performance. The Beryllium DLC diaphragm tweeter has a frequency of above 35 kHz and delivers “unmatched microdynamics and resolution," according to Sonus Faber. The 180 mm cone driver produces the brand’s signature midrange warmth and realism, while the dual 180 mm woofers ensure deep, controlled bass, and the side-mounted infrawoofers reproduce extremely low frequencies. To top it off, a fully re-engineered Paracross Topology crossover network improves clarity and phase precision while reducing the noise floor.

Sonus Faber’s technicians adjust the final voicing of every loudspeaker by ear. The result is an audio experience that rivals a live performance, according to Sonus Faber. The brand isn’t exaggerating, either: The Stradivari G2 floor-standing loudspeaker was named in Robb Report’s 2024 Audio Awards because of its organic, natural, and full-bodied sound.
“Listening to music, much like driving, is a deeply sensory and emotional experience," adds Jim Mollica, chief marketing officer and president of luxury audio at Bose Corporation. “With the introduction of Il Cremonese Ex3me—Automobili Lamborghini Edition, we’re bringing the craftsmanship of high-performance sound and the precision of automotive design into the home."

Only 50 individually numbered pairs are available, with each specific number displayed on the speaker alongside the Lamborghini badge and Sonus Faber logo. Pricing has yet to be announced, but the standard Il Cremonese Ex3me costs $60,000 for a pair. The limited edition will be on show at the Lamborghini Villa during Monterey Car Week from August 8 to 17.
