MANDARIN ORIENTAL, GENEVA UNVEILS ITS NEW DINING CONCEPT IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE OTTOLENGHI GROUP

Hong Kong, 19 September 2024 – Mandarin Oriental, Geneva is delighted to announce the forthcoming launch of a new dining venture in collaboration with Ottolenghi. This partnership will bring the vibrant and distinctive Ottolenghi flavour experience to Switzerland.

Yotam Ottolenghi commented: “Ottolenghi is coming to Geneva. I am super excited about our collaboration with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, who are world famous for hosting some of the world’s best restaurants and for really caring about food and its provenance. They get us! Inspired by the ethos of Ottolenghi and ROVI, the focus will be on vegetables, ferments and cooking over fire, with herbs and spices from across the globe. It’s sunny, happy food, served in an elegant environment. It will, I have no doubt, appeal to people living, working or visiting Geneva, where so many already know our food through our books or visits to London. I can’t wait!"

Paul Jones, General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Geneva, also shared his excitement: “At Mandarin Oriental, our constant aim is to offer our guests the very best in culinary excellence. Collaborating with Ottolenghi, a name synonymous with innovative and high-quality dining, perfectly aligns with our commitment to providing memorable and unique experiences. We are confident that this new restaurant will become a standout dining destination in Geneva."

Known for their emphasis on fresh, seasonal ingredients and visually stunning dishes, Ottolenghi restaurants offer a unique blend of informal dining and bold Mediterranean flavours.  Ottolenghi’s first location outside of the United Kingdom is inspired by the London-based concept ROVI, and will champion a vegetable-centric menu with a commitment to local sourcing where possible and a focus on Mediterranean sharing plates. Simply named Ottolenghi, the restaurant interiors will feature a warm and inviting design with rich wooden accents and striking red and gold details, blending the atmosphere of a local eatery with Ottolenghi’s signature style.

This new dining destination will feature a dynamic bar serving inventive cocktails, a veranda and a lively open kitchen centred around an impressive grill. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, guests will enjoy a culinary journey that embodies the heart and soul of Ottolenghi’s philosophy – a celebration of flavour, creativity, and the joy of sharing good food, in the heart of Geneva.
