You don’t always need a feature-packed camper van that can do it all. Just look at the Nissan My Room. Based on the Japanese automaker’s sixth-generation Caravan, the compact vehicle lacks a kitchen and bathroom but does feature a sleek minimalist interior that’s well-suited for low-intensity beach trips. Cut off from the cockpit by a curtain, the wood-lined cabin features a retractable back bench, a sliding table, and, most crucially, a fold-up Murphy bed you can hide during the day. The My Room is a van for hanging out in rather than living out of, but that’s all that some campers will want.
