Located on Bali’s pristine Pantai Nyanyi’s black sand beach in Tabanan regency, Oshom is a creative sanctuary for the modern traveller; here, hospitality is given a sophisticated, cheeky twist.

Designed with locally rooted craftsmanship in mind, every detail reflects Bali’s artistic heritage. Hand-drawn furniture, reclaimed teakwood, and volcanic sand walls create a rich, textured aesthetic, while bamboo “nests" by architect Pablo Luna provide sculptural spaces for quiet retreat. Bespoke artwork from emerging and established Balinese artists transforms the interiors into a living gallery; walk-in wardrobes adorned with shining disco balls add a dash of joy.

Breathable, non-toxic materials, rewilded native flora, and elevated walkways are part of Oshom’s responsible approach to preserving the delicate surrounding ecosystem. The saltwater pool, lined with local Sukabumi stone, matches the handmade lava tiles decorating the pool bar, mirroring the soft, shifting aqua hues of the ocean.

The 18-key retreat enjoys direct beach access, with 11 Ocean Suites and 7 secluded Treehouse Hideaways. The former are overlooking the Indian Ocean, whilst the Treehouse Hideaways are nestled within the property’s vibrant mangrove forest on the river, offering a true retreat into nature.

The Indigo Dreams Suite is designed for ultimate indulgence, featuring a private jacuzzi, a dedicated alfresco massage room for two, and a spa-inspired bathroom. On the private terrace, a bespoke hanging sofa invites guests to unwind in style and enjoy uninterrupted ocean views.

Aptly named, The Artist’s Suite is – much like the rest of the property – a canvas for some of the island’s notable and emerging artistic talents. Adding to the hedonistic flair of the Suite are an indoor-outdoor bar, private meditation dome, and tropical outdoor shower.
