Not following any conventional life path, Mr. Treerat Sirichantaropas always takes on new ventures. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Music from Mahidol University before switching to study political science at Chulalongkorn University. The turning point in his life came when he decided to found New Energy Plus Solutions (NEPS), a company that provides complete solar energy system installation services. Achieving success rapidly in just five years, the company has exceeded its revenue target of 300 million baht per year and has continuously maintained a growth rate of more than 50% per year.
“I think the success of NEPS comes from many key factors. The first is that we focus on providing quality service both before and after sales. The second is that we offer our partners new, better, and more sustainable technology. And the last is that I have a concept that prioritizes the customer. Listening to customer needs leads to the design of custom-made services for each project. As a result, we have gained the trust of our customers. It is always said that when it comes to solar, it has to be NEPS.”
Plans for Sustainability
The big plan for NEPS’s future is to continue expanding the business. Within this year, there will be the launch of new solar energy products that have never been seen before in Thailand. In addition, there are plans to expand the business into the private power plant sector in order to provide a new choice for consumers.
“My ultimate goal is to give Thai people the opportunity to have access to clean, renewable energy. With new technology, I believe we will be able to change renewable energy into primary energy within the next 10 years and create a Thai society that is net zero carbon,” he says.
For him, NEPS is not just a business. It is a personal mission to help make our world better. “I grew up in a family that taught me to be a giver. And I believe that the energy business is a way that can return a lot to society, whether it is building a community power plant for places where electricity is not accessible or giving a solar system to a temple or community library.”
The True Luxury
True luxury means spending time with the people he loves and getting in touch with nature. In his personal life, he places importance on his family. He and his wife, Pailin Umphuj, often like to go to the beach in Phuket and spend time together touring on a charter yacht on the beautiful sea. Sometimes they take scuba diving equipment with them on the boat. Their favorite hotel is Amanpuri. It is a special getaway for them and a place to remember, as their wedding ceremony was held there. During the long holiday season, they often plan to travel abroad together.
In addition to traveling, he also likes playing golf. He often goes golfing with his wife and friends on a private golf course. “Being surrounded by nature is the best way to recharge our energy. It helps us relieve stress and return to work more efficiently.”
