Marble’s unique veining, suitability for both interior and exterior areas, and ability to be honed for different looks are three reasons why British studio Design Unlimited selected seven different types for Pink Shadow. In one of the guest bathrooms, Breccia Pernice marble brings “warm tones, dramatic veining, and is strong, dense, and resistant to abrasion," says Design Unlimited’s Victoria Primrose. In the primary suite and adjoining bathroom, a mix of Fior de Bosco, Calacatta, Bianco Efeso and Grigio Collemandina marble is used for the shower walls, floor, and dressing table, as well as a pink Cristallo Rosa Wow quartzite vanity unit. “The quartzite is rare, natural, and translucent with a subtle shimmer," says Primrose. “Mined in Brazil, it’s perfect with the yacht’s design links to South America."
