London, May 22, 2025 – Dorchester Collection invites guests to experience the essence of a London summer at The Dorchester and 45 Park Lane. From vibrant garden settings and bespoke beauty treatments to seasonal afternoon teas and innovative cocktails, a range of curated experiences awaits.
THE DORCHESTER
This summer, The Dorchester presents a vibrant calendar of experiences inviting guests to rediscover the spirited London landmark. From alfresco moments in The Dorchester Garden and seasonal afternoon teas at The Promenade, to imaginative cocktails at Vesper Bar and bespoke beauty at The Dorchester Spa, each activation reflects the hotel’s bold sense of place and thoughtful evolution.
The summer line-up coincides with the completion of the hotel’s guest rooms and suites transformation by Pierre-Yves Rochon. Inspired by the glamour of the 1930s and reimagined with quiet brilliance for contemporary living, the new interiors draw upon the hotel’s Mayfair location and the spirit of nearby Hyde Park. The result is a refined residential atmosphere, where colour palettes reflect English garden tones, layered with bespoke detailing.
THE DORCHESTER GARDEN RETURNS
The Dorchester Garden has now become the go-to destination for sunny afternoons and golden-hour gatherings. Beneath its signature yellow umbrellas, guests can enjoy a seasonal menu that blends classic British charm with a playful twist. This year, the garden’s look and feel has been reimagined by Philip Hammond, The Dorchester’s in-house designer florist. Drawing on the vibrancy of summer and the romance of an English garden, Philip’s design creates a warm, inviting environment that feels both transportive and refined.
New for this year is the ‘Taste of Summer’ menu where guests can enjoy a selection of patisseries from Cake & Flowers including The Dorchester Rose, a delicate rose and jasmine mousse with raspberry compote and almond sablé; the Signature Chocolate Cake, a vegan creation featuring layers of 68% dark chocolate, sponge and vanilla caramel; and the Strawberry Mille-Feuille, with crisp layers of pastry, vanilla mousseline, Chantilly cream and British strawberries.
Also available at The Dorchester Garden will be the Cake & Flowers bespoke ice cream cart serving house-made ice cream sandwiches alongside traditional ice-cream flavours. Sandwich flavours include strawberry shortcake, cookies and cream, sticky toffee, and peanut butter and jelly. A refreshing frozé cocktail made from rosé wine, strawberry and elderflower will be available, as well as an alcohol-free summer spritz and a Pomello fizz.
The Taste of Summer menu is priced from £58 and includes three miniature cakes, a glass of Champagne, and a hot drink of choice. Ice cream sandwiches start from £10, while scoops of artisanal ice cream are available at £8 for two scoops and £12 for three.
SUMMER SEASON AFTERNOON TEA AT THE PROMENADE
Part of The Promenade’s refined all-day dining, afternoon tea at The Dorchester takes on a seasonal rhythm this summer with a series of experiences. Set within the beautifully redesigned interiors by Pierre-Yves Rochon, The Promenade is a space for connection, conversation and quiet indulgence, with layered textures, soft lighting and curated art enhancing every moment.
This year’s series of afternoon teas reflect the British summer calendar – Chelsea Flower Show tea (from now to May 26), Royal Ascot tea (June 16 to 22), and Wimbledon tea (June 30 to July 13) – all of which will feature a selection of delicate finger sandwiches on artisan breads, alongside exquisitely crafted pastries created by executive pastry chef Michael Kwan and his team.
A beloved Promenade tradition, seasonal patisserie trolleys will continue to delight guests and add a touch of theatre to the experience. This summer’s highlights include a Battenberg cake trolley for Royal Ascot and Father’s Day, a strawberries and cream trolley to celebrate Wimbledon, and a British Summer Time trolley featuring Eton Mess.
To further enhance its offering for families, The Dorchester has partnered with renowned French lifestyle brand Atelier Choux to create a bespoke children’s afternoon tea. The experience includes miniature pastel-coloured cakes, scones, cupcakes and mini sandwiches, all presented with illustrated cake-toppers and a take-home colouring book. Each child also receives a keepsake cookie featuring Atelier Choux’s exclusive design of The Dorchester’s façade, surrounded by whimsical characters and hot air balloons.
THE GRILL BY TOM BOOTON AT ROYAL ASCOT
This June, The Dorchester returns to Royal Ascot for the fourth consecutive year with The Grill by Tom Booton, located within the Royal Enclosure. Known for his bold yet refined approach, Tom Booton brings a playful take on British dining to the most anticipated event of the season.
Guests will enjoy a four-course menu featuring dishes such as beef fillet with kohlrabi and chive mayonnaise, and strawberry and cream soft serve with Pimm’s and mint. A full vegetarian alternative will be available, including roasted white and green asparagus and gazpacho with fennel and cucumber. The menu is priced at £130 per person, with optional black truffle supplements. An à la carte snack menu – featuring Tom’s fried chicken, crispy lamb, and charcuterie – is also available throughout the week, ensuring guests of the Royal Enclosure can dine with ease while soaking in the energy of the Royal Meeting.
VESPER INVITES
Vesper Bar, designed by Martin Brudnizki, launches a new cocktail menu inspired by the Golden Ratio, Eterna. Developed by bar manager Lucia Montanelli, the menu is structured around the Fibonacci sequence – beginning with bold simplicity and evolving toward layered complexity. Each page features three cocktails unified by a flavour profile such as floral, herbaceous or smoky, offering guests a visual and intuitive journey through taste and design.
Lucia, a globally recognised bartender and award-winning mixologist, leads Vesper Bar alongside head bartender Denise Elisei, whose refined craft is rooted in her early years in Sardinia and her rise through the bar scene in London. Together, Lucia and Denise are redefining what it means to lead at one of London’s most dynamic hotel bars.
The Vesper Invites series returns on June 29 with a celebration of Italian cocktail culture. Four bars from The World’s 50 Best – Drink Kong (Rome), Locale Firenze, Moebius Milano and 1930 (Milan) – will take over the space across two lively sessions.
- First session: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Second session: 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Guests can expect live Italian swing music, guest bartenders, and complimentary cicchetti.

45 PARK LANE
CUT at 45 Park Lane invites guests to savour the season with the return of the CUT Out alfresco terrace, launching on June 4. Set against the lush backdrop of Hyde Park, this year’s terrace will bring vibrant coastal flavours to Mayfair, alongside a selection of summer spritzes.
The new terrace menu by executive chef Elliott Grover features seasonal seafood dishes perfect for summer alfresco dining. The menu showcases a collective of Wolfgang Puck’s signature summer dishes, including Spicy Tuna Lemon Sushi Rolls, Soft Shell Crab Sushi Rolls and Dover Sole ‘Fish ’n Chips’ style goujonnettes with Sakura Tartar Sauce. In addition, the CUT Classic Lobster Roll and signature USDA Prime Ribeye Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich will be available in London for the first time this year. For a lighter fare, guests can enjoy an assortment of snacks including oysters with Japanese Ponzu, Smoked Black Cod Tacos and Wolfgang’s signature crab cakes.
To accompany the seafood menu, a new spritz selection brings a taste of sun-drenched European days to Mayfair. Highlights include the Parisian Spritz, a fresh and elegant mix of Noilly Prat, Green Chartreuse and colada yoghurt washing, topped with Telmont Champagne, and the Dolce Vita Spritz, a vibrant take on the classic Aperol Spritz, shaken with orange juice and finished with prosecco and an orange wedge. Each is crafted to offer a refreshing escape to summer in a glass.
“We wanted to create something that feels both indulgent and relaxed – a true taste of summer," says executive chef Elliott Grover. “This new seafood menu brings a lighter, brighter energy to CUT at 45 Park Lane, and there’s no better place to enjoy it than on the terrace with a view of the park."
Spritz & Seafood will be open Wednesday to Sunday for lunch and dinner, from June 4 to August 31.
