Beverly Hills, May 7, 2025 – The long-awaited return of afternoon tea in the Polo Lounge at The Beverly Hills Hotel, a Dorchester Collection hotel, takes place this spring in partnership with sister-hotel The Dorchester in London.
From May 8 through June 28, guests can enjoy this quintessentially British tradition with a Californian twist every Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 2:30 pm and 3:30 pm. Transported from The Dorchester’s recently unveiled interiors, part of a comprehensive renovation that has reimagined the hotel’s legacy for a new era, the new tea experience transforms into the lush California surrounds of the Polo Lounge.
Inspired by the celebrated tea service at The Dorchester, this Polo Lounge take on afternoon tea has been created by The Beverly Hills Hotel’s very own resident Brit and culinary director Ashley James. Guests can expect an array of traditional savory finger sandwiches, including smoked salmon with capers with delicate lemon cream, while executive pastry chef Jonathan Fisher has curated sweet selections such as pistachio choux and chocolate mini tarts. House-made scones, complete with preserves and clotted cream, and a hand-picked selection of rare teas, exclusive to The Dorchester, accompany the service. Presented on the same bone china used in London, the experience is steeped in authenticity and charm.
