Vibrant, month-long urban art and graphic exhibition kickstarted with a launch party on May 30
The StandardX, Bangkok Phra Arthit is a place where creativity thrives and where Thailand’s most talented young artists can show their skills to the world. Now, this edgy, art-inspired boutique hotel on the banks of the Chao Phraya River has revealed a new collaboration that will see the world’s of street art, animation and pop culture come together in a bombastic burst of colour!
On May 30, 2025, the hotel welcomed Bell Seatapron, the exciting young artist and creative director at Painterbell graphic design studio, for Bombastic X – a dazzling display of original artworks, from canvas paintings and wood cuttings to striking sculptures and mesmerising murals. This immersive, interactive showcase invites hotel guests and local residents to dive into Bell’s vibrant world and feel the energy, humour, and heart that define his bold visual language.
The fun started as the sun set, and The StandardX, Bangkok Phra Arthit invited its in-house guests, members of Thailand’s creative community, and other attendees to enjoy sundowners at THE ROOF, the 6th floor oasis with 360-degree views of the city and river. This was followed by a live panel talk under the theme “Phra Arthit Reimagined: The New Canvas of Bangkok’s Creative Spirit," which saw Bell come together with Ratcha Nilthanom, a promising graduate, to explore how both established voices and the new generation are shaping the neighbourhood’s creative identity.
Guests were then invited downstairs to BANG, which was transformed into an immersive art installation featuring a giant Bombastic X centrepiece and a series of curated artworks, merging dining, design, and expression in true StandardX fashion. Then the Bombastic X Launch Party fired up, as live DJs hit the decks and revellers danced the night away in an atmosphere of carefree creativity. With signature X Bomber cocktails and playful Thai-style canapés, it was a night that left a lasting impression.

Through the “Paint Your Story" activation, guests are invited to decorate a postcard inspired by Bell’s colourful urban animation, using art as a way to express their own personality and perspective. Bold and bright X Bomber cocktails – specially crafted with Patrón tequila, proudly sponsored by Bacardi Thailand – will be served throughout June at THE ROOF and BANG, the hotel’s laid-back yet upbeat riverside venues.
