Urban Jürgensen has returned to the watch world with gravitas. The Danish-Swiss watchmaker relaunched under the leadership of Alex Rosenfield and Kari Voutilainen at the beginning of this month, dropping not one but three timepieces to mark the start of a new era. The trio was designed by master independent watchmaker and co-CEO Voutilainen and showcases his signatures. Think well-balanced dials, Breguet-style hands, Roman-numeral hour markers, immaculate finishing, and expert movement architecture (pictured). The lineup includes the limited-edition UJ1 tourbillon (approximately $448,663), the time-only UJ2 (approx. $128,000), and the UJ3 perpetual calendar (approx. $204,834). Inspired by the legendary Oval pocket watch Derek Pratt and Voutilainen made for Urban Jürgensen, the UJ-1 is easily the most impressive of the three (pictured with the caseback on view).
