The Minute Repeater Tourbillon Split-Seconds Monopusher Chronograph from Vacheron Constantin’s Les Cabinotiers department is a remarkable timepiece that showcases the pinnacle of haute horology. Introduced at Watches and Wonders Geneva, this one-off wristwatch stands out for its rare combination of complications and elegant design.
Crafted over four years, this 45 mm by 16.4 mm watch is made of 18-karat pink gold and houses the new in-house Caliber 2757. This manual-winding movement comprises an impressive 698 components, including a minute repeater, a split-seconds chronograph, and a tourbillon. These complications are rarely seen together in a single timepiece, making it a unique offering in the market.
Despite its complexity, the watch remains slender, with the movement measuring only 10.4 mm in thickness. Its dual-tone dial in dark gray maintains an understated elegance, ensuring maximum readability without compromising on aesthetics.
The caseback of the watch is meticulously hand-finished, featuring a cross pattern of blackened bridges with sandblasted surfaces and mirror-polished sinks. This intricate finishing creates a visually captivating interplay of matte and shiny textures, adding to the watch’s appeal.
