Long owned by the late financier and philanthropist Robert Day and his widow Marlyn, this sprawling Los Angeles estate known as Villa dei Fiori recently became available for the first time in nearly three decades, with the potential of being one of the country’s priciest home sales ever if it goes for anywhere near its $150 million asking price. Sited atop a promontory amid three contiguous parcels with two separate addresses in Lower Bel Air, the extensively renovated and expanded premises include a main home and two guesthouses—for a total of nine bedrooms and 20 baths in roughly 18,600 square feet of living space, all of it overlooking sweeping city lights, mountains, and ocean vistas. In addition to a wine cellar, a screening room, and a gym, other lavish amenities include a pool flanked by an open-air cabana, a croquet lawn, an orchid hot house, an indoor plant nursery, and an Argentine Padel court with a viewing platform.
