Volkswagen Grand California

Powered by a 2.0-liter diesel that makes just 161 hp, the Volkswagen Grand California is anything but a speed machine. But that’s rarely the chief reason someone buys a luxury camper van. Instead, they’re likely looking for something that will let them spend time on the road in comfort and the refreshed version of the German company’s largest camper has plenty to offer on that front. The window-lined interior features a four-person dinette, a gallery with room for two burners and a 70-liter fridge, and a wet bath (but you’ll have to shower outside). Add in two dedicated sleeping areas, a skylit bed in the back and a lofted space with room for two above the front seats, and you have yourself a vehicle well suited for the family that likes to go on adventures together.
