A Bling Banquet: The World of Diamonds’ US$2 Million Dining Experience

A rarefied, sparkling meal

These are the numbers of the US$2 Million Dining Experience by World of Diamonds. Two people, just two, will enjoy an 8-hour retreat. It will consist of a 45 minute helicopter ride over Singapore, a chauffeured drive in one Rolls-Royce and a luxury private cruise, leading up to an 18-course dinner at Ce’ La Vi at Marina Bay Sands Singapore. The degustation menu will be paired with 44- and 45-year old vintage wines amidst 10,000 fresh roses, dining with diamond-studded chopsticks engraved with the couple’s names on custom designer furniture by The Plush that will be taken home with them, and culminating in the presentation of the Jane Seymour 2.08-carat Fancy Vivid Blue diamond ring while sipping Louis XIII de Rémy Martin cognac.

This extravagant dining experience is the brainchild of the World of Diamonds, the flamboyant diamond mining company that also deals in finished diamonds.  “This is the most expensive dining experience in the world, and the most lavish one possible" says to Karan Tilani, Director of the World of Diamonds. And exclusive too, because many may apply but only one couple will experience it, chosen at the discretion of World of Diamonds and Ce’ La Vi.

The menu features Fresh Belon Oyster with Champagne foam, Almas Caviar, Jamón Ibérico, Gewürztraminer-Poached Foie Gras, Veal Liver, Lamb Sweetbread, Bresse Poulet Consommé, Striped Seabass, Air-Flown Alaska Wild Salmon, Verjus Sorbet, Slow Cooked Pigeon, Glenvale Pork Loin and Apple-Wood Grilled Mishima Sirloin. Accompanying the meal is a selection of spectacular wines, including 1988 Salon ‘S’ champagne, 2008 Domaine Leflaive Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru, 1996 Domaine de la Romanee- Conti, Romanee-Saint-Vivant Grand Cru, 1961 Chateau Haut-Brion and 1972 Oremus Tokaji Aszú 5 Puttonyos.
