Boucheron’s new high-jewelry collection features a unique stone-like material called aerogel, never before used in jewelry, which gives off a stunning blue tint resembling the sunset. Creative director Claire Choisne collaborated with artist Ioannis Michaloudis to shape the aerogel into a six-centimeter stone, requiring 857 hours of work. Encapsulated in rock crystal and adorned with diamonds, the resulting necklace, named Goutte de Ciel (Sky Drop), is truly one of a kind. Despite its rarity making it impossible to assign a value, Choisne emphasizes that uniqueness is paramount. With this innovative approach, Boucheron continues to push the boundaries of high-jewelry design.
